Frequently Asked Questions
(organized by product)
DOWNSPOUTS
Q: What is the longest downspout RDCA can produce?
A: In 3 x 4 and 4 x 5 corrugated downspouts, shipping cost is the limiting factor.
For less than truckload shipments, any length up through 20 feet long is a common occurrence. Above
20’long, depending upon the order quantity, this too can be shipped without excessive shipping cost. As
for smooth downspout the limiting factor is production capability, which limits us to a maximum length of 20’.

Q: How does RDCA ship its downspout products to ensure there is no damage in transit?
A: Downspout product is either wrapped in plastic and/or paper interleaved, then boxed, skidded,
banded & shrink wrapped. All skids are customized in size and constructed of oak wood (not pine). Boxes are
also custom fit for the contents to eliminate movement during transit. RDCA has freight agreements with numerous
carriers and less than 1% of shipments have damage. In the unlikely event there is damage, upon receipt of a
signed BOL noting the damage, RDCA will replace the damaged product at no charge.

Q: What are standard lead times for downspout products?
A: RDCA has a 1 to 2 week lead time for most

usually accomodate a quicker lead-time, depending upon the specific order requirement.
